FOR WOMEN WHO CRAVE

COMMUNITY & BELONGING

Here’s the truth:

According to Silvia Federici, the European Witch Trials and total subjugation of women were essential elements for capitalism to take route (as were the enclosures). Prior to these horrors European women trusted that they could lean on each other for community and support.

The witch’s wound is real, sister. The burnings at the stake, the tortures, and the hangings for simply being a woman still reside in our collective consciousness.

In circle, we begin to heal. We dare to take up space. We reclaim the parts of us that both we and society have rejected as 'too much'. We courageously share vulnerably and from the heart, daring to trust our sisters to hold our words with confidence and silence.

It’s fucking beautiful. And it’s a tremendous honor to be entrusted by my sisters to guide them in sacred circle. [Side note: Sacred Circling is a powerful way to invite Wayfinding into your life.]

WOMEN’S CIRCLES

I currently offer 5-month membership-based women’s circles twice a year (Sep— Jan and Feb — Jun). These have historically been in-person offerings for my Chicago sisters, but I’m considering adding a virtual option. Circles are capped at eight sisters to foster equity in sharing (see ‘My Approach’). Registration for the Spring circle opens in late December.

22-DAY CIRCLES

Coming Soon! Short-Term Intensives will typically span 22 days and include four women’s circles, plus supporting rituals and reflections you’ll do on your own time between circles. These intensives will be themed (and will come with a better name than ‘Short-Term Intensive’). Themes will vary, but they will be incredibly potent containers for growth and awakening.

TINY COURSE

This is a bite-sized focused course on how to facilitate women’s circles. Included are videos, templates, and resources to help you confidently structure, promote, and facilitate transformative circles based on my approach. Included is a 30-minute mentoring support call with me. IMPORTANT NOTE: this offering will be overhauled (or pulled) in the coming months. If it’s overhauled, you will receive access to the revised version at no additional charge.

How I Facilitate Women’s Circles

3 KEY PILLARS

01 | Agreements

We each take turns reading our Sacred Circling Agreements, which form our circling container and keep our circles flowing well. Without them, our circles risk being more social than sacred.

02 | Equity in Sharing

Each sister receives equal time to share, be it with words or silence. If she finishes early, we continue to hold space for her. This creates equity and helps our introverted sisters feel seen.

03 | Simplicity

Circles that have simple structures and center around collective sharing are often the most transformative. They’re also easier to plan and facilitate! For these reasons, I keep my circles simple.

YOUR NEXT STEPS

  • This is where I share opportunities to join a women’s circle, get early access (and sometimes early bird pricing) to programs, and read the latest blog post. I will never spam you, bombard you with any sort of manipulative marketing messages (#gross), or sell your email to anyone.

  • “Big” offers—like circling containers, trainings, etc.—will almost always have their own page on this website as well as a mention on this page (and possibly on the All Services page).

“Small” offers—like masterclasses, one-off circles, etc.—can be found in my shop.

Freemium content—life guides, meditations, etc.—can be found at the bottom of this page (and at the bottom of other site pages).

  • Register for a women’s circle, enroll in a circle facilitation masterclass, or download a guide! Or drop me a line if (a) you’d like to connect, or (b) you’re interested in something that’s not currently available. I’m open to creating new programs, content, and opportunities based on the needs of my community!

Guide to Facilitating Women’s Circles

A No-Frills PDF of my approach to Circling

Facilitating women’s circles isn't rocket science, and there are countless ways to do it. This guide outlines my approach to facilitating women’s circles, and it’s intended to help those who would like to call a circle but could use a little guidance regarding the details.

  • I am not a student of history, but Professor Emeritus and long-time feminist activist Silvia Federici is. Her book Caliban and the Witch is absolutely chilling and focuses on the role that these witch hunts had in the transition from feudalism to capitalism in Europe.

  • The membership-based women’s circles I facilitate begin with a welcoming and intros/check-ins. From there, we take a few moments to get grounded and centered, followed by the collective reading of our sacred circling agreements. These agreements form the container of our circle and are super important.

Then, I’ll share a reading and a reflection prompt, and we’ll go around the circle, with each sister having equal time to share, without interruption. This makes up the bulk of our circle. Once each sister has shared, we do the same simple reflection (indoors) or burn-and-release (outdoors) ritual each time, and we end with a short popcorn-style debrief and group hug. Everything is always optional.

I sometimes offer the one-off women’s circle, which may or may not follow the same format (and which may be in-person or online). Also, the membership circle format is subject to minor changes.

  • These are inclusive women’s circles, and we welcome our sisters and kin who may not feel welcome in other spaces. If you question whether or not this includes you, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Just no men or children. Psst, we love you, though!

Also, a note about our practices: We don’t engage in any practices that are overtly witchy or earth-based, but some of our readings are sourced from Indigenous healers (e.g. Asha Frost), witches (e.g. Danielle Dulsky), and spiritual teachers. I also provide decks of oracle and tarot cards for those who partake, but they’re not really a part of our circles. I share this as a filtering mechanism.

  • If you need financial assistance and none is offered as an option at checkout, please email me at kristi@kristiamdahl.com. In many cases, I’d be happy to work with you!*

And, if you have something you’d like to offer in exchange for access to a program, please include that in your email. If you choose to offer something, please ensure that it feels fair and energetically aligned for you.

*Please note that I don’t currently have a pool of scholarship funds and that my intention is to both create a sustainable source of income and make my work accessible. This is a dance and, as such, financial assistance and trades generally don’t apply to high-touch offers.

  • I’m not sure. I’m considering replacing it with either a live, cohort-based training or a resource bundle without the traditional video course format. But it’s all TBD.

  • Call me crazy, but most of my in-person circles happen either in my home or backyard. I live in Chicago’s North Mayfair neighborhood, near Pulaski and Foster and about a half-mile east of I-94 (Foster/Cicero exits).

  • It depends. As of November 2025, they are no longer part of my regular cadence, though I am planning to offer an intensive virtual circling container in 2026 (and possibly other opportunites). The best way to stay in the loop about virtual circling opportunities is to sign up for my emails.

  • While these sister circles have a social element to them, they aren’t social circles.* Please keep the booze at home, and plan to turn off your phone for the duration of our circle. Also, you may leave smelling like a campfire (if we gather outside) or get exposed to cat hair (if we gather inside).

*Note that the Sacred Sister Membership Circle does include at least one social gathering where booze and food are welcome.
